Research interest: nanomaterial research – iron and iron oxide based nanoparticles, silver nanoparticles, carbon nanostructures (graphene, fluorographene, carbon dots), magnetic nanoparticles: synthesis, characterization, applications in catalysis, water treatment, antimicrobial treatment, medicine and biotechnologies.
R. Zboril (39) received his Ph.D. degree in 2000, and in 2010 became a professor in Physical chemistry at Palacky University Olomouc. In the period 2005-2010 he worked as the scientific director of Centre of Research of Nanopowdered Materials. Since 2010 he is the general director of Regional Centre of Advanced Technologies and Materials formed at the Palacky University Olomouc, Faculty of Science. In 2010 he was appointed a member of the board of Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (www.tacr.cz). In 2011, he was awarded by Minister of Education Youth and Sport for extraordinary results achieved in the field of research, experimental development and innovations.
Prof. Zboril is author of several patents and introduced technologies. Among others he has principal contribution to development of technology of large-scale production of zero-valent iron nanoparticles applicable in modern water treatment technologies (www.nanoiron.cz/en). He is the general chairman of international conference NANOCON.

M. Tupý (* 1980) graduated Doctoral study in Faculty of Technology, Tomas Bata University in Zlín and defended his Doctoral thesis with title “The study of PVB waste application obtained from recycled windshields” in 2011. He worked in laboratories of company DuPont in 2005-2008, with focusing on plasticized PVB processing and sheet recycling. After that, he worked in company EFTEC for 4 years, in R&D department with concentration on automotive coatings, based on PVC plastisol or polymer dispersions. His following work in 2013-2015 was situated at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Brno University of Technology – on postdoctoral position, where he worked on development of advanced building materials using recycled plastic waste. In the same year, he moved to company FATRA where is fully focused on managing of innovation projects and implementation of results to the manufacturing process.
Michael Tupý is author and co-author of 7 scientific papers with impact factor in international journals a next 20 contributions in the international conferences as well as author of 1 chapter in published technical book and 1 lecture notes. V. Sedlařík (*1980) received his PhD at Faculty of Technology, TBU in Zlin in 2006. He was granted the Werner von Siemens Excellence Award for doctoral thesis entitled “Biodegradable polymers based on dairy waste“ in the same year. Since 2005 he has been employed at Centre of Polymer Materials and also at the newly established Centre of Polymer Systems at TBU in Zlin since 2011. In 2011 he was conferred the title of associate professor in the field of Technology of Macromolecular Substances. Since 2012 V. Sedlařík has been holding a position of vice-rector for research, development and creative activities at TBU in Zlin.

Dr. Hana Bendová received her Ph.D. degree in Medical Biophysics at the Palacký University in Olomouc. She has been focusing on research in the field of public health protection
as an expert of the Centre of laboratories in Public Health Protection, a member
of the National Reference Center for Cosmetics and a member of the National Reference Laboratory for Experimental Immunotoxicology for longer time. Since 2008 she has been intensively engaged in scientific work as the Head of Department for Biomedicine
of the Centre of Toxicology and Health Safety in the National Institute of Public Health
in Prague. Since 2010 she has been involved with the implementation of European legislation in the practice in the Czech republic as a member of Experts of Cosmetics Council of Europe and an expert for CEN and ISO in test methods related to cosmetics, a member of the Czech Society of Cosmetology and the Czech Medical Society JEP and a representative of Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic in the Working Group on Cosmetic Products. Dr. Bendová
is the author and co-author of scientific papers in several international journals.

Research, development and transfer of the new technologies in the field of Organic specialities, mainly intermediates for organic electronics, conductive polymers and photoactive materials.
L. Kubáč (1967) graduated VSCHT Pardubice as MSc. and University of Pardubice as Ph.D. in the organic technologies specialisation. He is focussing on the R&D of the organic materials and mainly their industrial applications during the all professional career. His specialisations are biocides, organic dyes, semi-conductive materials for organic electronics, conductive polymers, protection against UV radiation and photoactive materials. He had been employed as researcher in the VUOS since 1989 and as project manager since 2004. He has been Executive Head of the Centre for Organic Chemistry Ltd. since 2010 and he is still continuing in the R&D activities. He is manager or member of the steering groups of the R&D projects financed by private companies or co-financed by 6FP, 7FP and national government institutes.
L. Kubáč is author or co-author of nearly 30 patents and utility models, more than 20 technologies realized in industry and he is participating on the publication activities too.

Ing. Jaroslav Říha is a graduate of the Institute of Chemical Technology, Faculty of Food and Biochemical Technology of Biotechnology and Bioengineering. In 1992 he was employed in the company Biomedica, spol. s r.o. as a production manager and since 1995 he has become a company executive. Since 2000, he has been a member of the Interdepartmental Commission for Iodine Deficiency in the Czech Republic and an authorized person for the handling of dangerous substances from 2000 to 2005. He is a graduate of the Qualified Persons of Manufacturers of Medicinal Products. He collaborates in projects co-financed by TAČR, MIT-Permanent Prosperity and the European Regional Development Fund and the Operational Program Enterprise and Innovation.
